If you or one of your traveling companions is in a wheelchair, there are questions you should ask your discount travel agent or ticket broker before booking your flight, and you should also know your rights. In some situations, advance notice or the presence of an attendant may be required, and you may be required to check in earlier than other passengers.  If your wheelchair triggers an airport security device, you may request a private security screening. You are entitled to sit in any airplane seat row except the Emergency Exit row. Becoming familiar with the policies and procedures concerning accommodating your wheelchair will ensure that your travel experience is as safe and pleasant as possible.
