Amsterdam hotels add to the charm
Travel July 30th. 2008, 7:26amI love finding out about the history and ancient, old or quaint areas in a town. Amsterdam hotels add to the charm because they are located in some of the historical areas. One hotel was built as a diamond factory in 1886, and the Kikker & Thijs Fenice Hotel Amsterdam is located in the heart of the ancient city on the beautiful Prinsengracht Canal, at the corner of the Leidsestraat. It is an old building, so all the rooms vary in size, some have beamed ceilings, views on the canal and all have traditional furniture. There is a breakfast room on the lower ground floor and is a large & beautiful old room with stained glass windows
