Tippmann a5: Some Drawbacks
Sports July 31st. 2008, 7:23amDisassembling your Tippmann a5 isn’t exactly as easy as one might think. Truth is, it requires 2 different sized hex keys to remove the 3 screws required to detach the barrel – this can be a major headache for the user especially when you get paint in the barrel (in effect curving your shots), although the manufacturers of Tippmann’s guarantee that this scenario wouldn’t happen on the field while still in the heat of the game. This difficulty in removing the flat line barrel is perhaps the biggest drawback of the Tippmann a5. This marker is considered a "heavy metal" compared to smaller lighter speedball guns and it may slow you down once on the field in battle. Another problem is when it’s fairly new because by the first time you use the Tippmann a5, the remote line is tightly coiled. It will stretch out a little over time and at first, you may feel a bit short with your shots.
