It has been in the news lately about several police departments that are taking advantage of saving gas and investing in used golf carts. They are taking these golf carts and fixing them up to the style of police used vehicles and using them for their patrolling of streets. Theses are, of course, police stations that have communities to patrol that are close knit communities where the traveling around the neighborhood is at a much slower pace than big city areas. This helps the police station to save on the wear and tear of their police vehicles and to save a load of money on gas.
