One of the biggest and most well-known conflicts in NHL History exist between two Canadian teams: The Toronto Maple Leafs (often called the Maple Laughs) and the Montreal Canadiens (often called the Habs). Last night’s game has been plastered all over the NHL Highlights. But maybe not for the great hockey skills that both teams bring to the ice.

Instead, the highlights make a point of exploiting the +140 minutes in penalties that both teams collectively racked up on the board. Now, these two original six teams have always had a strong rivalry, so it’s interesting that two Belarussians added a taste of animosity in their well-publicized fight.

In the end, the Candiens overtook the Leafs by a score of 6 to 2.
