I recently had to settle a case out of court because I could no longer afford the lawyers fees. I was a victim in situation where a man broke into my house. Unfortunately, because of how I defended myself the burglar was able to counter sue me for permanent physical damage. The case was ridiculous and I should never have had to argue my self defense case. For all the trouble that I went through and all the time, it was a crazy amount of money that I had to pay my lawyer after we settled the case outside of the court.
