I always thought that koozies were something that were local to America but after traveling for the last five years I have seen them to be very popular in places like Australia where they call them eco holders, they are so popular Aussies don’t drink beer without them.  I started to hear the word koozie in the early 90s mostly in the Texas region and thought to my self what the heck is a koozies?   The reason they are so popular is because they are usually cheap and useful.   Many people personalize koozies to support there ideas and beliefs such as NASCAR, American pride, company loyalty, weddings, parties, birthdays and for celebrations of any kind.  With a koozies you can keep a beer at 40F for an average of 40 minutes on a hot day!  Koozies are made from many materials like foam, polyurethane, neoprene (wet suit material), leather, nylon and even steel, with the popularity of koozies many companies have started manufacturing with new materials and new technologies like full color printing which was not possible until recently.
