Every year the office I work at sponsors a Halloween costume contest and the winners receive cash prizes.

As a result the competition is stiff and the costumes are often pretty creative. We’ve seen everything from elaborately planned and executed costumes which took weeks to create, all the way to bargain Halloween costumes which were put together in the bathroom just before work.

Last year one co-worker dressed as a fairy and brought her baby son in, looking like a tiny green elf.

But our winner was a young lady who’d built a “magic carpet” which fitted around her waist. An artificial body and legs rested on top of the carpet so that, as she walked around the office, she looked like Jeannie, on her carpet.
