I believe in hands off dog training. A lot of people rub their dog’s nose on the floor when he or she leaves a puddle. Then they smack the dog. This is supposed to teach the dog that it is not ok to go to the bathroom in the house. Some people may find this type of training effective, but I do not think it is the most humane way to train a dog. There are other ways to train a dog that do not involve potentially harming the dog.
