When I became disabled I was very glad my very first wheelchair was a Portable Wheelchairs. It was made from a light weight high impact plastic which made it very easy to operate when my hands and shoulder let me. It was light enough that when I could not operate it myself my wife could push me without wearing herself out. Even though I have moved up to a motorize version I still keep my light weight portable chair for when I travel and can not take the motorized scooter. I now have the best of both worlds and can get around with ease and comfort.
