Funding the Washington University Genome Sequencing Center
Health July 3rd. 2008, 4:21amDNA is an amazing thing, passed from generation to generation. But analyzing it can be the hardest thing in the world to do. That’s why the University of Washington has to use some high end systems and micro processors to maneuver the strings and strings of data that is required to view the DNA strand. That’s why a university has to have a strong promoter to get the funding needed to support a project like that. High rollers that invest in systems like this are basically investing in the future. Every dollar towards the Washington University Genome Sequencing Center’s funding of genome project is a dollar toward understanding life itself.
