Do You Feel Like an Idiot When it Comes to Dieting?

I have read several books about food and metabolism and this or that diet, and the amount of information is mind-boggling! I actually believe it is wise to know all you can about nutrition and avoiding obesity. However, when I read diet books, I get excited about all the good information, but then comes the actual eating plan.
Usually the foods that are suggested just don’t seem appetizing to me. For example, egg whites or broiled fish. How much broiled fish can a person eat? I guess it’s not my favorite. Even if I do like the food suggestions, the recipes can be daunting — especially in the time department. That is, I don’t have time to prepare special recipes and then have to think about what the rest of the family is going to eat.
