Should I take this?

The center where I am going to be taking my GED test also offers a GED pre test. Should I take this? I understand it isn’t very long. They say it might help me figure out what I need to focus on when I am trying to prepare for my GED. A friend told me that sometimes if you pass the GED pre test they will waive the fee for the GED, though I don’t know if this is the case at the place where I plan to take my GED. I will have to find out. I guess it wouldn’t hurt me to take it, and it might help.

Help me select my service: Dish Network vs Direct TV

Reference No Comments »

There has to be an easier way to select a satellite television service. I have seen the commercials, read some of the in-store materials, and am still somewhat confused about which service is best for my needs. I’ve been considering the Dish Network vs Direct TV question, and attempting to decide which is the better satellite provider solution for my needs? Each offers similar if not exact programming and both have a pricing structure that is relatively similar. So what am I missing? What do I need to do to select the right service for me? It’s not like the color of a suit or dress or something on a menu. Thoughts and comments welcome.

The death of a loved one can be a dramatic and even shattering experience for those who are left behind. The experience of losing someone that you love and care for deeply is a difficult one to endure at best — and the problem is only compounded if that loved one died as the result of an accident or sudden illness. That’s why I’m glad to tell you about a great little experience that I had yesterday — I was visiting a website called www.estatesettlement.com, because I had found out that they offer free probate forms for all 50 states — and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also have a number of different resources to help those who are going through the grieving process, including informative articles, checklists and guides.

The trends revealed by credit card use statistics

It is no secret that the American economic plight is partly due to a lack of savings by individuals. The low interest rate policies perpetrated by credit card companies has resulted in a generation of spenders who max out their credit entitlements to load up on the latest electronic gadgets and consumer merchandise such as televisions. Credit card use statistics reveal an alarming trend whereby the average consumer is incurring additional debt that is increasingly difficult to service. When interest rates are low, paying off the interest may be manageable. The difficult comes when interest rates start to go up and it reduces a person’s disposable income.

Case Settled

I recently had to settle a case out of court because I could no longer afford the lawyers fees. I was a victim in situation where a man broke into my house. Unfortunately, because of how I defended myself the burglar was able to counter sue me for permanent physical damage. The case was ridiculous and I should never have had to argue my self defense case. For all the trouble that I went through and all the time, it was a crazy amount of money that I had to pay my lawyer after we settled the case outside of the court.

Reference No Comments »

Just this morning while doing my errands, we passed by some Watch Display Stand and my daughter wanted me to buy her this particular pink watch.  She already has a watch you see and I think she does not need another one. So I told her I will only buy her a watch if she tells me the time.  She told me it is 10 am. And she was right because it was 10:45 am then.  So now I know that she already knows how to read numbers.  But I did not buy her the watch.  I told her I would have to work for it first before I could buy her that particular pink swatch watch.

My husband and I had a friend who is a secretary now who worked herself through college.  She took on Legal Secretary Course.  She used to tell us what she went through to put herself through college all the time.  She used to study during the day and work at night and that went on for 2 years.  Now, she is earning well and she has a great family ( a loving husband and 2 kids).  She is a perfect example to all working students out there.  She is in fact of the godmothers of my child.  I want my daughter to be as hardworking as she is.
