Praise and Worship

Arts No Comments »

I often play praise and worship music, many times for churches on sunday mornings or for church retreats.  This can sometimes be a big responsibility but I find that if I prepare myself well, things usually go pretty good.  The best way to prepare myself is to make sure that I am familiar with all of the guitar chords necessary to play the songs.  Most praise and worship songs I find to pretty easy, many of them use the same guitar chord progressions, so if you know the key of the song, you can play it without looking at the music.

Last week was my birthday and I didn’t know what to expect from anybody. When I got home I was surprised out of my pants. My wife had thrown me a surprise party and I was surprised. She had invited over thirty people and it was was a very good evening for me. I received a lot of nice gifts that evening. The nicest gift of all was from my wife. She took the time to make me a wonderful scrapbook. In it she included some very important times in my life and put it into this one incredible book. I will always remember that evening.

The Perfect Wedding

Arts No Comments »

While planning my second wedding, I had already known how important it was for a photographer. Selecting the perfect photographer was as important as selecting the perfect cake, the perfect setting, or even the perfect dress! I had decided to hire a Wedding Photographer in Minneapolis.  After going to several studios, I was able to look over albums that had the right setting I was looking for. The perfect lighting, the perfect color, and even the perfect theme! Since this is a main event in a woman’s life, the pictures are what speaks the most about the wedding. I am very thankful I found the perfect photographer to fill my wedding album with perfection!

Three Great Reasons to Buy the Best Guitar Lesson DVD

Arts No Comments »

Many people these days are spending a ton of money on a guitar playing video game that, although entertaining, doesn’t really teach you how to play a real guitar.  Instead, I have two great reasons to buy the best guitar lesson DVD you can find.  One, you can learn how to play a real guitar on your own time.  Two, you will spend a great deal less on true lessons than you would on the video game.  And three, you can learn at your own pace.  Once you feel comfortable with a lesson, you simply move on to the next one.

Trashy or Classy?

Arts No Comments »

It is becoming more and more common these days for girls to have tattoo on the lower back aka the “Tramp Stamp”.  My question is since it is so common can we still consider it a tramp stamp? My answer is yes maybe the “stamps” or starting to become so normal because the tramps are pretty “common”. As goofy and rude as it is. That is what I think I’m eager to see your comments. I do see how this can be a a wee bit controversial if your the one with a tramp stamp or your sister has one etc. But it is what is.

Have You Ever Seen the Broadway Show South Pacific?

Arts No Comments »

My daughter and I have never been to a Broadway show. She has a week off in July and will be home. I think I will try to buy Tickets to the broadway show south pacific. I heard that it re-opened last April at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theatre on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We have never been to New York City either, so that would really be a special trip. My daughter is now twenty-one years of age, and I am sure there are many wonderful things we could visit and enjoy before she has to go back to her clinicals, and I have to return to work.

American Girl Dolls Are Great for Teaching History

Arts No Comments »

There are all kinds of dolls out there that you can buy.  Some are for little girls and some are for big girls, but usually they are just a fashion statement and they don’t really teach anyone anything.  But not so with American Girl dolls.  These characters are steeped in American history and they each represent a certain time in the past of this great nation.  Children learn about these girls and what they went through and had to deal with as they read the books and watch the movies about their favorite dolls.  But they are not just dolls anymore.  They are more like a best friend for many little girls, but there are a few grown ups who have a big collection of these characters too.  Get some cheap American Girl dolls.

Changing my guitar strings

Arts No Comments »

Guitar strings, just like the soles of our shoes, wear out with much use. If this happens, the worn out strings will tend to sound less bright, and your guitar will lose intonation more quickly. That’s the reason why you need to change your strings regularly, moreso if you are a professional guitar player and you often use your guitar with guitar lesson software. For professional guitarists, you probably use your guitar more than 4 hours a day with practice and gigs. That’s why it’s advisable for you to change your guitar strings at least every 2 weeks. After all, the price of strings is nothing compared to the amount that you will lose from your gig for example, if you end up with a broken guitar string during a performance. For beginners, I guess it’s okay if you change your strings at least every 2 months instead.

The Mind’s Eye of A Photographer

Arts No Comments »

Taking photographs of nature and landscapes is more than just finding an interesting or striking view and then snapping a picture.  For me, I strive to create a photographer’s interpretation of the scene as I see it from my mind’s eye.  Every scene has more than one vantage point that a photo can be taken from.  The choices can often be endless or very few.  So it is up to me to try and find that one location that will capture what I feel is the best interpretation to present to the potential viewer.  I have discovered that often the image I am looking for is found in simply rotating the camera from a horizontal to a vertical position.  Voila! And there it is.  Just what I was looking for.

Are Online Rental Services Worth the Money?

Arts No Comments »

One of the drawbacks that keeps many away from online rental services is cost. After all, when you rent a DVD in a store, you only pay for what you rent. With an online service, you pay a monthly fee.

But what you are paying for is not strictly DVD rentals. A big part of your purchase pays for convenience.

For exmaple, there are no late fees on online DVD rentals. You simply keep movies for as long as you like.

You also don’t need to trek out to the video store every time you want a rental. They are delivered right to your house.

Also, online adult DVD rental is discreet, and you don’t have to suffer the embarrassment of handing your titles to the clerk, or furtively ducking into the adult section of the store!

Submit your true ghost stories

Got a story of a ghostly encounter? Then pop over to ghosthunterdiaries.com and send in your true ghost stories.

They’ll be published, anonymously, on the site, together with the opinions and explanations of enigmatic ghosthunter Dr. Matthew Keynes.

He’s no modern day paranormal investigator - he can receive and respond from his study way back in London 100 years ago!

Keynes’ adventures as a ghost hunter and spiritualist debunker are recorded in the Table Rappers novel series - currently being released as free to download audio books.

Take care if you submit a story to Keynes, he’s not altogether tolerant of those submissions he feels are less than completely credible!

Ballet vs Michael Jackson

Arts No Comments »

I am still amazed when I seel ballet. How the heck they raise feet like that, man my feet are like stuck on ground. You have to try dancing ballet to know how it feels.

Anyway, I also don’t know they are able to feel comfortable with those type of clothes. Like everything is visible and buldging out of the clothes. Man it’s worse than being without clothes I think.

Anyway, Michael Jackson style is fun, but Michael no longer provides us with some fun, he’s gone in gossip now. For gossip he is a good one, just like Britney Spears when she makes shows in the street. Dancing with that snake on her shoulders, probably she got an award for that.
