There are so many different testers available for cable. I get so confused with the different names, and what each of them does specifically. Is there really a big difference between all of them, or do they just have different names and that is all? For example, what is a paladin cable tester? Is it for a specific type of cable? What does paladin mean? I know that all of these cables make sure that things are working properly. What things exactly do they check on, though? I would like to know how these things work and what separates them from each other.
