Transporting vehicles has become more popular over the years with the sudden increase in gas prices. As a result, not many people want to drive their own cars…anywhere!  It is a sad state of affairs to see where we are now as a country.  Increasing numbers of families are more reluctant than ever to even go on a vacation, citing high gas prices as the reason for them staying behind and going on "staycations" instead.  Can’t anyone afford anything beyond the gas prices?  Have high gas prices really crippled us that much?  Were we that dependent on high gas prices so that we are now almost unable to function?  There is no telling what we will have to endure in the future as the price of gas continues to escalate and people continue to struggle to make ends meet.  All I can say is that if it comes down to not being able to afford food or gas, I’m going to opt for eating over gas any day.
