The Mind’s Eye of A Photographer
Arts December 20th. 2008, 2:20pmTaking photographs of nature and landscapes is more than just finding an interesting or striking view and then snapping a picture. For me, I strive to create a photographer’s interpretation of the scene as I see it from my mind’s eye. Every scene has more than one vantage point that a photo can be taken from. The choices can often be endless or very few. So it is up to me to try and find that one location that will capture what I feel is the best interpretation to present to the potential viewer. I have discovered that often the image I am looking for is found in simply rotating the camera from a horizontal to a vertical position. Voila! And there it is. Just what I was looking for.
